August 20-25 Kazan hosted the 16th International Conference "Surface Forces" which was attended by laboratory staff Alexey Alabuzhev and Lyudmila Klimenko, as well as graduate student Oscar Fattalov. A total of 7 stand-up reports were submitted.
The conference is devoted to the science of colloids and surfaces of the section, including wetting and capillary phenomena, the structure and properties of boundary layers of liquids, the dynamics of thin films, etc.
